Cluster Bomb Effect
There may be no council housing for locals or people who have paid into the system, but there is a huge budget for housing, feeding, educating and appeasing migrants. To help them settle, some roads in Littlehampton are landscaped to represent what these migrants are more commonly used to - pits, ruts, holes, craters, mule tracks, strafe lines etc. This is very considerate and goes some way to making our guests feel at home.
There are so many damaged and apparently poorly maintained roads in Littlehampton, a person may be forgiven that West Sussex County Council - responsible for taking our road maintenance money (significant portion of Council Tax) and carefully not spending it here - has lost the map to get to Littlehampton. But that can’t be true? Such an abandonment of duty would be immoral and unethical if not illegal. No. Our road money MUST be being spent on our roads. Perhaps it is landscaping...............
