The coloured sheds are an uncommonly useful feature of the town, since the big winds of 1987 blew away the 1970s plastic igloo huts that used to terrorise the promenade.
These multi-purpose huts provide sheltered accommodation to homeless people and storage for smugglers.
They are also used to display messages, sprayed or drawn on with felt tip pens, like “Tracey gives head” and “Paulines a minger and takes it up the arse”. Nice.
